A Day in the Life: What You Will Do As a DSP, you'll partner with individuals to help them live more independent, community-focused lives. Your day might include: Empowerment & Mentoring: Mentoring someone on life skills, like cooking, cleaning, or managing a budget. Providing respectful, hands‑on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Companionship & Behavioral Support: Providing companionship and emotional support, perhaps watching a movie, engaging in conversation, or helping with an evening routine.
