Position Summary
The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides clinical leadership for children receiving ABA therapy and supervises Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) delivering services in the home.
The BCBA conducts behavioral assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, analyzes clinical data, provides caregiver education, and supervises treatment implementation to ensure every child receives ethical, evidence-based care that produces meaningful progress.
Primary Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and other clinical evaluations.
Identify each child’s strengths, needs, and priorities.
Develop individualized treatment recommendations.
Treatment Planning
Develop and maintain Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Establish measurable treatment goals.
Modify treatment plans based on data and clinical progress.
Clinical Supervision
Supervise, mentor, and coach Registered Behavior Technicians.
Conduct competency assessments and performance feedback.
Promote treatment fidelity and clinical excellence.
Family Partnership
Provide caregiver education and parent coaching.
Collaborate with families to establish meaningful treatment priorities.
Support caregivers in implementing strategies throughout daily routines.
Collaboration
Coordinate care with physicians, educators, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other providers as appropriate.
Participate in interdisciplinary communication to support continuity of care.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Review and analyze treatment data.
Ensure compliance with BACB Ethics Code, HIPAA requirements, payer guidelines, and state regulations.
Quality Improvement
Participate in clinical meetings and peer collaboration.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinical culture.
Qualifications
Required
Current Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing.
North Carolina Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related discipline.
Minimum two years of experience providing ABA services to children with autism or developmental disabilities.
Experience supervising Registered Behavior Technicians.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to travel locally to client homes.
Preferred
Experience providing in-home ABA therapy.
Experience with CentralReach or comparable electronic clinical documentation systems.
