Salary$Up to US$250000 per annumLocationNorwalk, CT, USAContractPermanentIndustryLegalContactEmily Ahern View email address on job-api.jobget.com AGC – Finance & Investments CounselLocation: Connecticut | HybridWe are seeking an experienced finance and investments attorney to join the legal team of a leading life insurance/reinsurance organization.The role will advise on the company’s investment, finance, treasury, capital management, derivatives, and regulatory matters, working closely with senior business and finance leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesLead legal documentation and negotiations for investment management, custody, asset transfer, and servicing arrangements.Advise on insurance asset management, capital requirements, financial reporting, and related regulatory developments.Support derivatives and hedging activities, including ISDA documentation.Advise on financing, credit facilities, letters of credit, distributions, reinsurance transactions, and balance-sheet management.Support regulatory filings, regulatory responses, disclosures, and rating-agency matters.Partner with investment, treasury, finance, and transaction teams on strategic initiatives.Qualifications5+ years of legal experience focused on investments, asset management, finance, and/or insurance regulation.Insurance/reinsurance experience strongly preferred, particularly life insurance.Strong transactional, regulatory, drafting, and negotiation skills.Ability to operate independently and advise senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.J.D. and active U.S. bar membership required.Knowledge of statutory accounting for life insurers is a plus.Level: AVP or VP, depending on experience.Compensation: Competitive base salary plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.
