About the Role

The Company is in search of a VP, Lead Compliance Counsel to play a key role in the development and implementation of global and domestic compliance programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and modernizing the company's worldwide compliance portfolio, with a focus on advancing innovation, strengthening performance, and elevating operations. This pivotal position involves close collaboration with the General Counsel and C-suite on critical business decisions, M&A initiatives, and transactional commercial strategy. The role also includes acting as the chief legal advisor for antitrust matters, ethical conduct, conflicts of interest, and key regulatory risk areas, as well as directing the management of regulatory bodies and overseeing internal investigations. Applicants for this role at The Company should have a J.D. from an accredited law school, with at least 12 years of legal expertise in both competition/antitrust and compliance. Experience working with the DOJ, Big Law, and in-house is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a master knowledge of the overall business, be adept at problem-solving in critical business situations, and be able to maintain a strong company culture. Responsibilities also include developing and upholding company-wide governance tools, providing training, and counseling different business units on various legal matters. The role requires a strategic thinker who can integrate legal, compliance, and antitrust/competition principles into the organization's routine workflows and is capable of managing and engaging with external counsel as needed.
