MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and our local client are now hiring for a 1st Shift Warehouse Cooler Associate / Sit-Down Forklift position in the Indianapolis area!

Schedule & Pay

Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $19–$20/hour
Location: Southwest Indianapolis, IN

Position Summary

The Warehouse Cooler Associate supports daily distribution center operations by assisting with shipping, receiving, inventory movement, order fulfillment, and product replenishment. This role requires operating warehouse equipment, working in both dry and temperature-controlled environments, and maintaining accuracy in all warehouse activities.

Key Responsibilities

Pick orders using a riding pallet jack and RF scan gun
Load outbound semi-trailers and box trucks
Operate a sit-down forklift to move and replenish inventory
Receive incoming shipments and ensure accurate product placement
Prepare orders for shipment, including wrapping pallets and labeling
Complete replenishment and order fulfillment for case and pallet quantities
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Follow instructions from scanners, documents, and supervisors
Safely operate PIT equipment in compliance with OSHA guidelines
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
Assist with other warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications

Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Basic math skills
Ability to count accurately and maintain records
Understanding of warehouse inventory processes
Ability to identify quality issues (good vs. damaged produce)
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Forklift / PIT experience preferred (or ability to become certified)
Ability to work independently and with a team

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Stand and walk for extended periods
Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Push/pull up to 2,000 lbs using manual or electric pallet jacks
Work in dry, cooler, and freezer environments
Exposure to hot/cold temperatures, dust, odors, and warehouse equipment
Comfortable working around moving machinery and vehicles
Some outdoor exposure may occur
Flexible schedule required, including occasional Saturday or evening hours
