Make a positive impact supporting pre-K students’ communication development! A contract position is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential services for young learners in a supportive school environment. This rewarding opportunity is located in the scenic area near Mexico, ME, and requires a commitment of at least 20 hours per week.

You’ll begin with a small caseload—currently two pre-K students identified, each receiving approximately 90 minutes of service per week. There are also nine additional students already in referral, and the potential for more as the needs arise. Your work will be vital in helping children build foundational communication skills for lifelong success.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Eligibility for state licensure as an SLP
• Experience or strong interest in working in school-based or pediatric settings
• Adept at providing speech therapy services in accordance with IEPs for young children
• Strong organizational and communication abilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted speech-language services to pre-K students
• Conduct assessments, participate in eligibility determination, and maintain documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create supportive, individualized plans
• Manage a fluctuating caseload based on referrals and identified needs
• Support students’ progress and track outcomes in compliance with school and state guidelines
