BARISTA (FULL TIME)

Job Summary We are hiring for a full‑time Cook position located at RTX - 4 Farm Springs Drive, Farmington, CT 06032. The role involves preparing espresso and coffee drinks, handling food in compliance with HACCP guidelines, and providing friendly customer service. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes. Enters orders accurately into the POS device and accepts cash and charge payments. Replenishes condiments, beverages, and supplies while maintaining cleanliness of the service area. Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures, following HACCP standards. Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils. Uses approved recipes and follows prescribed production standards for food preparation. Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments. Greets customers courteously, interacts to ensure satisfaction, and relays concerns to supervisors. Serves customers quickly and efficiently, preventing delays in serving lines. Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers. Promotes selling techniques by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision–making process. Merchants display foods attractively according to standards, serving food neatly and attractively. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Barista and general food service experience required. Must be able to support locations in a small campus setting. Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Compensation Fixed Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour.
