Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Davenport, Iowa. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a specialized medical-surgical setting, focusing on the recovery and stabilization of patients who require intermediate level care. The RN will supervise nursing staff and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes during a 12-hour night shift. Job Details: Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), a minimum of two (2) years bedside critical care clinical experience, and relevant education or degrees. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Progressive Care Unit or similar setting; strong communication and teamwork skills. Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, develops individualized care plans, documents patient progress accurately, and participates in patient discharge planning. Responsible for supervision of nursing staff, ensuring safety and adherence to hospital policies, and contributing to a positive work environment. The RN will also be involved in implementing safety protocols focused on patient handling, infectious disease control, and slip/trip prevention.
