Serves as a clinical resource, supports staff development, and partners with the Nurse Manager to maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.Primary Job ResponsibilitiesDeliver safe, high-quality patient care (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)Coordinate care across departments to ensure optimal patient outcomesServe as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staffSupport staff education, onboarding, and ongoing competency developmentAssist with daily operations, including patient flow and staffing coordinationPromote effective communication among patients, families, and care teamParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain standards of careProvide guidance, feedback, and support to team membersServe as charge nurse as assigned and participate in committees as neededAssist with unit goals, program development, and process improvementsRequired Position QualificationsCurrent Washington State Registered Nurse license or valid Multistate license.Surgical Scrub experience strongly preferredBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Masters PreferredMinimum of two years of professional surgical nursing experience or equivalent education/experience.Demonstrated experience as an Operating Room registered nurse, with proficiency in perioperative nursing practiceEquivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.About Uw Medical Center-northwestUW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
