Responsibilities Use oxy/acetylene torches to bevel and prepare steel plate edges Interpret drawings, templates, and instructions to ensure precise cuts and angles Inspect workpieces for quality and accuracy throughout the beveling process Operate overhead cranes and rigging equipment to move steel plates safely Perform minor maintenance on beveling machines to ensure optimal performance Work in coordination with welders, fitters, and shop supervisors to meet production goals Follow all safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) Maintain a clean and organized work area Benefits Competitive salary with overtime opportunities. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Experience operating beveling or cutting machinery in a steel fabrication environment preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to read a tape measure and interpret basic blueprints Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Reliable transportation and strong work ethic Familiarity with Oxy/Acetylene torches Familiarity with safe rigging techniques and overhead crane usage a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr Phoenix Fabricators & Erectors, LLC
