ABOUT FOOD & BEVERAGE The Food & Beverage team enables a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, available and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. They are experts of operations, process and efficiency. This team leads food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all Food and Beverage areas of the store. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide a consistent Starbucks experience for guests by curating handcrafted quality and freshness. State and federal food safety and OSHA guidelines compliance. Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: Greet guests warmly; 10 ft: friendly smile or wave; 4 ft: greet, smile, initiate a warm interaction. Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience. End every transaction with a sincere thank you. Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive, respectful attitude. Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy experience. Deliver an exceptional guest experience by prioritizing the guest’s needs over tasks. Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards. Execute food and beverage processes: deliveries, replenishment, instocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, organizing, and storing reserve product. Stay aware of current and future Starbucks promotions. Follow Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent experience while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining food safety. Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to fulfill digital orders accurately and on time. Maintain an inviting dining area during shift. Engage guests to exceed expectations based on Starbucks standards. Produce hand‑crafted beverages and food to recipe specifications. Follow all food safety requirements, monitoring and recording temperature‑sensitive items. Complete and record all cleaning tasks per best practices. Locate and identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process accordingly. Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store‑initiated orders per best practices. Follow proper perishable inventory procedures for accurate recording. Execute sampling best practices. Complete required training and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products. Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. Work safely at all times; comply with safety policies and report hazards. Support guest services (back‑up cashier, order pick‑up, Drive‑up) with compliance for adult beverage laws. Perform any other duties based on business needs. QUALIFICATIONS Enjoy interacting and helping others – guests and team members. Thrives in a fast‑moving, highly active, physical role with teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem‑solving. Open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times). Previous Starbucks/food service experience preferred, but not required. Welcoming, helpful attitude toward all guests and team members. Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices, operate handheld scanners and technology equipment. Work independently and with a team. Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot. Attention to detail and follow multi‑step processes. Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment, accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes. Access all building areas to respond to issues. Interpret instructions, reports and information accurately. Accurately handle cash register operations as needed. Climb ladders when required. Lift and move merchandise efficiently, including loads up to 10 pounds routinely and up to 44 pounds occasionally. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays; adhere to scheduled shifts, meal and rest breaks. Work in refrigeration and freezer temperatures, handling allergens. Work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements for duties like Drive‑Ups and carry‑out. Remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts.
