Production Technician

Job Description

Cardinal Staffing Services is immediately hiring for a Production Technicians in Bowling Green, OH. The Production Technician is a mid-level manufacturing position within our Thermal Spray operation. In this role, you will safely operate production equipment, monitor manufacturing processes, and produce high-quality coated components while meeting production goals. Successful candidates are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to following standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and company safety regulations.

Available shifts 5AM to 5PM (4 on, 3 off schedule)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor automated production equipment to ensure efficient and consistent manufacturing output.
• Perform machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers to meet production schedules and product specifications.
• Conduct in-process inspections and quality checks to verify products meet established quality standards.
• Identify equipment or production issues and promptly communicate concerns to maintenance or supervisors.
• Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and machine guarding requirements.
• Complete production, quality, and inspection documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic equipment cleaning to ensure reliable operation.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and workplace safety.
• Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, and quality teams to maintain efficient workflow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Operate a forklift safely when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and navigating production or quality tracking systems.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Forklift certification preferred or the ability to obtain certification through company-provided training.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to frequently use hands to grasp, handle, lift, carry, and manipulate materials and equipment.
• Ability to frequently reach above shoulder level and below the waist and occasionally climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to visually inspect equipment and finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Must be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, and cut-resistant gloves.
