Immediate need for a talented Senior Systems Administrator with experience in the Telecom Industry. This is a 24+ Months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Southlake, TX. Please review the job description below.

Key Responsibilities:

• LINUX System Administrator Position Overview.
• The start and end times will be adjusted based on business requirements. 24x7x365 on-call rotation availability is required.
• Minimum five years of system administration experiences in Red Hat LINUX.
• The LINUX System Administrator is responsible for the operation, maintenance and 24x7x365 support of the high availability server/database/SAN platforms located in both local & remote Data Centers across multiple time zones.
• Supports daily operations including monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, capacity management, provisioning, hardware and software configuration, patching, upgrades and performance monitoring/tuning.
• Administers multiple systems including regular after-hour & weekend supports and 24x7x365 in a 99.999% uptime environment.
• Composes clear and concise system documentation and reports.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum five years of system administration experiences in Red Hat LINUX
• LINUX LPIC, Red Hat RHCSA, Red Hat RHSE.
• Expert knowledge with LINUX (Redhat) administration, in-depth knowledge of RedHat based distros. Familiarity with a multitude of OSS tools and utilities for managing, monitoring and troubleshooting Linux infrastructure and networks.
• LINUX/UNIX shell scripting. Expert knowledge of system administration of Client C7000 blades, DL380 and DL580 servers.
• Experience with supporting Oracle SQL database including Oracle RAC cluster implementation on SAN platforms.
• Strong knowledge of SAN architectures and Fibre Channel protocols.
• Experience administering servers, backup operations, and systems monitoring in multiple and complex network server environments.

Key Responsibilities and Technology Experience:

• Experience with Datacenter Migrations, Server upgrades, O/S and firmware patching.
• Expert troubleshooting and diagnostic skills and providing support to Operations personnel
• Experience supporting mission critical systems 24x7x365 including regular on-call for after-hour and weekend support.
• Experience with meeting high-availability (99.999% uptime) SLAs.
• Experience with business continuity / disaster recovery failover/failback and runbook documentation. Ability to prioritize multiple assigned tasks and execute parallel tasks in a high-pressure environment. Experience with cyber security, server hardening and DMZ deployment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Must be able to perform duties with minimum supervision, and participate in cross-functional projects as scheduled.
• One or more LINUX/Database/SAN/Server/OS certifications.
