Quality Tech I ( 12 hr. shifts, 6p-6a)
Phoenix-Packaging-Operations
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on products from foil printing, die-cutting, and injection molding (IML) processes to ensure compliance with specifications and customer standards.
- Verify print quality through color proofing and visual checks; must have the ability to distinguish colors accurately (color vision required).
- Measure components using precision tools such as rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers to confirm dimensional accuracy.
- Identify, document, and report non-conformities or deviations in real time to prevent defective product release.
- Perform repetitive inspection tasks with accuracy and consistency throughout the shift.
- Accurately complete all required documentation and inspection records in a timely manner.
- Follow and enforce all applicable Safety Standards , Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) , Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) , and internal quality system procedures .
- Apply knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) , SQF , and HACCP standards to evaluate and maintain product quality.
- Maintain familiarity with production processes, including flexographic printing , die-cutting , and injection molding with IML labels .
- Utilize computers for quality data entry and reporting; proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds as needed during inspections or sampling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, complying with plant safety and hygiene standards.
- Demonstrate flexibility by adapting to shift changes or covering for fellow employees when needed.
- Understand and follow company policies and safety protocols at all times.
- Exhibit the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision while maintaining a high level of accountability.
- Participate in cross-functional team support and perform additional duties as assigned by management in support of quality operations.
