FTE 1.00 Retirement Eligibility ORP Eligible Department Summary The G. Brint Ryan College of Business offers baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degrees in business. The Department of Management provides quality management education and conducts research, instructional development, and professional service to the department’s communities. We have three main academic areas: Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management; Strategy and Entrepreneurship; and Sport Entertainment Management. The department has 20 tenured and tenure‑track faculty and expects 20 non‑tenure‑track faculty (lecturers and clinical faculty) as of Fall 2026. UNT is a highly diverse campus, and we welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs or who speak multiple languages. Position Overview The Department of Management within the G. Brint Ryan College of Business is seeking a full‑time Lecturer of Business Communication, a non‑tenure‑track position. Lecturers teach multiple courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, contribute to strategic service activities across the department, college, university, and business community, and develop and deliver face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online instruction at the main campus in Denton and/or the Frisco campus, as assigned. Evening teaching may be required. Successful candidates should be willing to live in or relocate to the Denton area by early August 2026. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have a master’s degree in business, management, or a closely related discipline relevant to teaching business communications. Preferred Qualifications At least three years of university teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level, including face‑to‑face and online course delivery. Relevant and applicable work experience in business environments that can be integrated into business communication instruction. Ability to teach other management courses if needed. Physical Requirements Communicating with others to exchange information. Environmental Hazards No adverse environmental conditions expected. Work Schedule Varies based on assignment.
