MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Internal Medicine

This is a full-time, on-site position designed for an Associate-level physician who is ready to make a meaningful impact in patient care. In this role, you will be responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of adult patients presenting with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients in an outpatient and/orsetting consistent with internal medicine practice.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, infections, injuries, and other health conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient history, symptoms, and test results.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work, imaging, and other procedures as appropriate.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and other treatments, monitoring patient progress and adjusting care plans as needed.
• Coordinate patient care with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive continuity of care.
• Provide patient education on preventive care, healthy lifestyle choices, and disease management strategies.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, case reviews, and departmental meetings to enhance clinical outcomes.
• Adhere to all applicable healthcare regulations, patient safety protocols, and medical practice standards.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine.
• Valid, unrestricted medical license in the applicable state; active DEA registration preferred.
• Experience as an Internal Medicine Physician at an Associate level, preferably in a medical practice or hospital setting.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical documentation best practices.
• Commitment to continuous learning, evidence-based medicine, and high standards of patient care and safety.

Schedule: 4-day workweek

1:9 beeper call rotation

Daily Volume: 15-17 patients

Support Staff: APP and medical assistants

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified
