We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with an AI-native mindset to design and manage scalable data platforms for real-time analytics and batch processing. This role involves ownership of the full data lifecycle, including ingestion, ETL, storage, and serving, utilizing advanced technologies in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage scalable data platforms for real-time analytics and batch processing.
- Own the complete data lifecycle: ingestion, ETL, storage, and serving.
- Ingest data from streaming (Kafka, Kinesis) and batch sources; unify pipelines.
- Architect medallion-layer data models (Bronze/Silver/Gold) in Databricks.
- Automate tests, data quality checks, and CI/CD for data pipelines.
- Build AI-ready tooling and Databricks Genie chatbots to enable non-technical users.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of high-volume data infrastructure experience.
- Proficiency in Databricks, AWS (EMR, Kinesis/Kafka, S3), Spark, Airflow (MWAA), SQL, and Python.
- Experience with data quality frameworks like Great Expectations or DQX.
- Ability to architect data models, optimize SQL, and tune performance.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Strong communication skills and an AI-native mindset.
