Experienced HVAC Service Technician

Job Summary We're looking for experienced HVAC Technicians with expertise in commercial systems to join our service team. In this role, you'll handle complex diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and system optimization across large commercial and industrial facilities. The right candidate brings strong technical instincts, a safety-first mindset, and a track record of delivering quality service. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair large tonnage chillers - air-cooled and water-cooled - including centrifugal, screw, and scroll configurations.
- Commission and start up chiller and controls systems, optimizing for peak efficiency.
- Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, and supporting equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
- Keep accurate, timely documentation of all service work, repairs, and recommendations.
- Communicate clearly with customers about system conditions, findings, and next steps.
- Adhere to all safety requirements, EPA standards, and internal company policies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior technicians when applicable.
- EPA 608 Universal Certification.
- 3 or more years of commercial HVAC experience.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting capability across both low and high voltage systems.
- Comfortable working independently with limited oversight.
- Valid driver's license in good standing.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces.
- Factory certifications or formal training on major chiller manufacturers.
- Hands-on controls programming or commissioning background.
- Prior experience in hospitals, industrial plants, or large-scale commercial buildings.
- Pay based on experience and qualifications up to $45.00/hour
