The Greer Group is recruiting for an Inside Sales & Product Specialist to join a growing industrial sales team in High Point, NC. This position supports the sales of specialized products used in the construction and heavy equipment industry , making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers while learning and applying technical product knowledge.

Pay: $55,000–$68,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Overtime: Occasional OT as needed
Location: High Point, NC
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

About the Position

This position combines inside sales, customer service, technical product support, and order management . You’ll work closely with customers, dealers, distributors, and the outside sales team to provide product recommendations, quotes, order support, and product expertise. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a technical, construction-related environment and enjoy helping customers find solutions that meet their equipment and application needs.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a B2B sales environment and wants to build strong customer relationships while developing a deep understanding of technical products and applications.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a primary point of contact for inbound customer and sales inquiries.
• Help customers select the appropriate products based on their needs and applications.
• Prepare quotes, proposals, product specifications, and other sales materials.
• Follow up on leads, quotes, and opportunities to help close sales.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and end-users.
• Provide customers with technical product information and recommendations.
• Learn and maintain strong knowledge of the company's product line, applications, and competitive products.
• Educate customers and internal teams on product features, benefits, and applications.
• Assist with product demonstrations, webinars, and training when needed.
• Accurately enter and process customer orders in ERP/CRM systems.
• Verify pricing, availability, and lead times before confirming orders.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to help ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Provide sales support, reports, customer information, and other resources to the outside sales team.
• Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, and order history.
• Assist with sales initiatives, promotions, and other business development activities.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, sales support, or a related role.
• B2B sales experience preferred.
• Experience in a technical, industrial, manufacturing, construction, or heavy-equipment environment is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with an outside sales team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using ERP/CRM systems.
• Strong follow-up skills and a customer-focused approach.

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Construction equipment
• Heavy machinery
• Hydraulic systems
• Industrial equipment
• Manufacturing
• Technical B2B sales
• Dealer/distributor sales
• Sales pipeline and lead management

Bilingual English/Spanish or English/French skills are a plus, but not required.
