Loss Prevention Officer

The Loss Prevention Officer will monitor Farouk Systems, Inc. property to identify potential loss prevention concerns or issues. This position serves in a security function for the company. Duties & Responsibilities Walk the warehouse at least once every hour to provide visibility and assess activity first hand. Serve as "First Responder" in any incidents, accidents or injuries. Work with supervisor and Safety department as needed. Prepare and submit daily security reports to supervisor. Monitor all employees and guests as they enter and leave Farouk Systems, Inc. Support supervisor with miscellaneous projects as requested (phone calls, research, contacting vendors, etc.) Serve as third "on call" contact for afterhours alarms. Enforce security and company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required Prior experience in the military, Loss Prevention or another security function Physical Skills & Abilities Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to walk for long periods of time on different types of terrain. Ability to withstand brief periods of exposure to the elements—heat, cold, rain, wind, snow, etc. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Ability to operate security cameras and other monitoring equipment. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and employees. Must be able to work with a flexible schedule.
