Quality Supervisor - $70k/annually!

Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Quality Supervisor for our manufacturing client to start immediately at $70k/annually! Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!

Responsibilities: 

The Quality Supervisor oversees quality-control activities for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods. This role leads Quality Inspectors and Technicians while helping ensure customer requirements, internal standards, and applicable quality-system requirements are consistently met. 

• Plan, prioritize, and assign daily work for Quality Inspectors and Technicians.
• Supervise department personnel, including performance management, employee development, discipline, morale, and hiring of hourly team members.
• Support customer satisfaction by applying established plant quality-assurance processes and standards.
• Review product-quality concerns with Quality Department employees and communicate updates to procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.
• Respond promptly to internal and external quality issues by identifying the defect, determining root cause, coordinating corrective actions, and verifying the effectiveness of the resolution through the 8D process.
• Develop and post Quality Alerts and communicate customer break points as required.
• Support IATF 16949 quality-system activities and requirements.
• Participate on cross-functional teams and contribute to activities involving Control Plans, FMEAs, SPC, APQP, and 8D problem solving.
• Maintain the 8D/corrective-action log for supplier rejections and follow up on open actions as needed.
• Assist with gage room operations, including the distribution, control, and calibration of measuring equipment.
• Review scrap material, determine appropriate disposition, and lead or support scrap-reduction and avoidance initiatives.Recommend and implement improvements to work methods, equipment usage, safety, and departmental efficiency.
• Help motivate employees to meet quality, productivity, and department performance goals.
• Maintain positive, professional working relationships within the department and across the plant.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Location:  Portage, IN

Schedule/Shift Details: 2nd shift, 6:00pm-4:30am

• Overtime as needed (OT pay after 45 hours worked) 

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Engineering, a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least one year of supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Three or more years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a related manufacturing quality role.
• Experience in automotive seating or a comparable automotive manufacturing environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of APQP, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, and 8D corrective-action processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of GD&T and inspection techniques.
• Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action skills.
• Proficiency with computer applications and quality-related documentation.
• Demonstrated leadership, performance-management, and employee-development abilities.
• Effective communication skills with employees at all levels, as well as customers and suppliers.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Work Environment:

This position works in both an office environment and on the manufacturing floor. The role requires regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and use of hands and arms to handle tools, equipment, and materials. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds and have sufficient close, distance, color, and depth vision to perform inspection-related duties.
