HousekeeperThe Housekeeper is a part-time position responsible for supporting safe, clean, and premium guest experience. This role reports directly to the Housekeeping Manager and plays a critical part in maintaining facility cleanliness and operational standards daily. Shifts typically range from 4 to 8 hours per shift, averaging 18 to 29 hours per week, depending on the schedule. Work hours primarily include evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all guests, staff, and vendors.Adhere strictly to established Housekeeping Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Proactively identify and address housekeeping issues as they arise, demonstrating initiative and accountability.Maintain clear and professional communication with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient event operations.Immediately report safety hazards or concerns to the Supervisor for proper assessment and resolution.Monitor and maintain spaces throughout, including:Cleaning and sanitizingRemoving debris and wasteSweeping and mopping wet or dry spillsClean, inspect, and maintain assigned areas, including the frequent removal of waste and recycling materials during shifts.Promptly respond to and remediate spills (wet or dry), including debris removal and stain treatment.Support housekeeping-related maintenance needs, including:Assisting after maintenance issues such as clogged toilets or floodingPerforming biohazard spill cleanup in accordance with safety guidelines and established protocolsQualificationsPrior custodial or housekeeping experience preferredDemonstrated alignment with company core competencies, including strong work ethic, resilience, and empathyAbility to understand and comply with company policies and proceduresReceptive to supervision and responsive to management directionMaintains a professional appearance and attire during work hoursStrong listening skills and ability to follow instructions accuratelyAbility to work effectively in large crowds and fast-paced environmentsExcellent verbal communication and interpersonal skillsPunctual, dependable, and reliable attendance requiredAbility to lift up to 25 pounds without accommodationStrong organizational and time-management skillsHigh level of reliability, diligence, and attention to detailAbility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules and hockey seasonPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a part-time position. Hours of work are based on schedule and are mostly days, nights, weekends and occasional holidays.Work EnvironmentThis role is performed within a large arena environment. Noise levels are frequently high, crowd traffic is heavy, temperatures may vary and are often cold, lighting conditions may change, and there may be occasional exposure to special effects such as pyrotechnics.Physical DemandsClimbing - Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion. Balancing - Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces. This factor is important if the amount of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium. Stooping - Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full motion of the lower extremities and back muscles. Kneeling - Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. Crouching - Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine. Reaching - Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Standing - Particularly for sustained periods of time. Walking - Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Pushing - Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward. Pulling - Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Lifting - Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles. Grasping - Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. Feeling - Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips. Talking - Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. Hearing - Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
