Store Manager – Circle K Location: 2833 Freedom Dr, Charlotte, North Carolina 28208 Availability Full time – Flexible Availability Responsibilities Directly supervises the activities of 2 or more full‑time employees (Assistant Manager(s), Lead Representative(s), Customer Service Representative(s)). Recruits, hires, and trains positive, enthusiastic employees to ensure excellent customer service. Develops, manages, and assigns tasks to maintain store cleanliness, adequate stock, organization, and compliance with company standards. Maintains a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisors. Schedules employees within company guidelines to maximize customer service and store image. Implements non‑discriminatory management practices during hiring, training, counseling, mentoring, motivating, and separating employees. Develops positive and professional relationships with all suppliers. Promotes excellent service and resolves customer complaints in a timely, professional manner. Provides regular and predictable onsite attendance. Promotes and maintains a safe, positive public image within the surrounding community. Prepares on‑going performance appraisals in Workday for all employees, including 30‑, 60‑, 90‑, 12‑month, and ongoing anniversary check‑ins. Trains employees to meet company standards for customer service, store image, marketing execution, safety procedures, safety awareness, cash handling, and risk reduction. Ensures all required training is completed on time. Develops communication methods to keep all employees informed and holds periodic meetings with employees and the Market Manager. Evaluates and develops specific action plans to address store needs and achieve objectives. Organizes and maintains all store files and manuals. Ensures accurate and timely completion of all required reports. Ensures merchandise is stocked, displayed attractively, and priced correctly. Ensures all employment‑related posters and signs are displayed in accessible locations. Analyzes daily sales and expense information, taking appropriate action to maximize sales and net profit. Budgets and forecasts P&L lines and manages merchandise margins. Safeguards and accounts for all money received and disbursed. Notifies Market Manager of any sales, cash, inventory, or operating discrepancies. Performs all other financial analysis necessary to maximize sales and net profit. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent plus 1–2 years of retail work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Ability to supervise and train staff in use of equipment, tools, and materials specified in CSR, LSR, and SA job descriptions. Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in the CSR, LSR, and SA job descriptions. Computer proficiency or ability to acquire necessary skills; requires completion and analysis of reports, inventory control, cash control, and employment forms. Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. Open availability. Fluent oral and written English communication skills. Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions described above. Capacity to work in the conditions described (including temperature extremes, noise, and physical tasks). Ability to operate a motor vehicle and sit for long periods. Certificates & Licenses: Food Server certificate (ServSafe) and Food Safety Management certification may be required. Physical Requirements Ability to work a minimum of 50 hours per week. Exposure to cold or warm temperature extremes while working in walk‑in cooler/freezer and outdoors. Occasional lifting/carrying up to 30 lbs from ground to overhead. Occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs from ground to waist. Ability to grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands throughout shift. Push/pull with arms up to 20 lbs using hand‑truck. Reach overhead for objects. Bend and twist at waist. Communicate orally. Operate a cash register and/or computer keyboard. Stoop, kneel, squat, bend, push, pull. Work alone. Expose to occasional noise. Stand and/or walk for entire shift. Climb ladder to store and retrieve materials or place/remove signs. Work Environment Requires 50 hours per week and may include all shifts, weekends, and holidays. Approximately 95% of work indoors; may require cleaning parking lots, gas pumps, taking out garbage. Exposure to extreme cold temperatures in walk‑in cooler/freezer. Exposure to occasional noise.
