Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the future The Line Locator is responsible for locating and marking underground utilities, updating records, and assisting with the development of maps and other electronic data. The successful candidate must possess the ability to work both alone and in teams locating and marking underground utilities. The Line Locator will be reporting to our facility in Greeley, CO. *This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment. The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, enhancing our wellhead-to-market strategy. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units. - Locate and mark underground utilities using a variety of electronic equipment.
- Maintain inventory of locating and marking supplies, flags, paint, batteries for electronics.
- Assist in the administration, sorting, filing and follow-up of underground utility locate requests.
- Resolve questions or conflicts regarding locate requests, marking of lines, respond in a timely manner to remarking requests and emergency requests for assistance.
- Assist in the development, drafting and maintenance of miscellaneous diagrams, maps, and electronic data regarding underground systems.
- Employee will make extensive use of a laptop to review maps and locations of underground utilities.
- Perform other duties from time to time as assigned.
- Ability to interpret open and close locate tickets using UtiliSphere Software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Contractors, other employees, and the general public.
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
- Available to work normally scheduled hours, over time hours and on call hours as needed.
- Ability to maintain a high volume of work output with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must maintain a valid driver license.
- Willing and able to perform/comply with the following with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Live/relocate within 45 minutes of reporting location.
- Work extended hours; which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and be available for callouts or on call schedules.
- Work in various types of terrain.
- Frequently lift and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Push/pull forces up 130 pounds.
- Regularly walk, stand stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, for durations of up to 3 minutes.
- Work in conditions which may include times of heat, humidity, or other inclement weather conditions.
- To wear personal protective equipment, such as flame-retardant clothing, eye protection, ear protection, steel toed boots, and hard hats, etc.
- Safely work around various types of moving equipment or in areas of high vehicle traffic.
- 3 or more years of Utility locating experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
