Industrial Electrician

Location: Hoopeston, IL

Pay Range: $33.20/hr Start pay

Job Type : Full-time

Schedule: 1st, 7:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.

Position Overview:

A growing manufacturing facility is hiring Industrial Electricians to support production equipment and facility maintenance operations. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates should be comfortable working with motors, control panels, wiring, and preventative maintenance programs. Strong troubleshooting ability, safety awareness, and reliability are critical for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, motors, wiring, and control panels
• Perform preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Assist with installation, setup, and testing of electrical equipment
• Inspect electrical systems for wear, damage, and safety concerns
• Complete maintenance documentation and work orders in CMMS systems
• Support production teams with electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Maintain compliance with safety, GMP, and company procedures

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance experience
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and manufacturing equipment
• Experience reading electrical schematics and technical manuals
• Basic understanding of motors, wiring, electrical controls, and preventative maintenance
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in food manufacturing or industrial production environments
• CMMS experience
• Union manufacturing experience
• Preventative maintenance experience

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

• Industrial manufacturing environment with moving machinery and production equipment
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout shift
• Exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and varying temperatures
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
• PPE required in designated production areas
