Manufacturing Engineer

Job Title

Work with production supervisors/Managers to improve efficiencies and through-put.

Conduct Root Cause Analysis for problem solving.

Make optimum utilization of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to assist in preparing the feasibility studies and ensure that the costs incurred are justified.

Evaluate various improvements that need to be done and create value analysis and to look out for ways to reduce the costs in the engineering and manufacturing applications.

Identify methodology and processes in an effort to increase productivity and efficiency.

Manage major projects using Project Management programs, including management of outside vendors to facilitate timely completion.

Manage outside resources that have been identified with related projects.

Lead 5S/Continuous Improvement teams during Kaizen events.

Assist in training of personnel in new equipment start up.

Troubleshoot problems as necessary.

Use of time & motions studies to ensure optimum and accurate standards for new and existing products.

Assist in analyzing and selecting equipment to be purchased.

Identify processes where automation may be justified.

Lead training of personnel in new equipment start-up.

Work with Product Engineering on manufacturability of product.
