Branch Member Service Representative – Thousand Oaks Position: Branch Member Service Representative (MSR) Location: 12307 Nacogdoches Road, San Antonio, TX 78217 Base Pay: $20.00/hour (Full time). Additional $2.00/hour for bilingual Spanish/English certification. Responsibilities Provide enthusiastic, professional, quality, prompt, courteous service to members, prospective members and the RBFCU team across multiple channels (in-person, video conference, drive‑thru, telephonic). Maintain control of cash and negotiable instruments per policies and regulatory laws. Engage in consultative, needs‑based conversations, actively listening, asking open‑ended questions, and demonstrating empathy to uncover financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services. Consistently meet or exceed minimum sales goals. Support RBFCU sales culture, reinforce best practices, and model consultative behaviors. Act as Branch Reservist, taking calls for the Member Service Center. Assess deposits for potential fraud and each interaction for impersonation to mitigate fraud losses. Assist members and prospective members with needs that involve other internal departments (Consumer Lending, Mortgage, Credit Union Service Organizations) while complying with policies. Qualify members and assist with opening, updating, and closing accounts; maintain current knowledge of the RBFCU Membership and Account Agreement. Prepare teller reports and escort members into designated areas when requested. Observe safety and security procedures, reporting unsafe conditions. Requirements High School diploma or GED. Six months of work experience (preferably financial institution, customer service, or sales). Attendance and promptness: flexible Monday through Saturday schedule. Ability to cover staffing at any location within the region, including branch transfers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving, timely decision making, and common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Proficient in PC, software and other office equipment. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Good vision (correctable), hearing, and manual dexterity; capable of reaching with hands and arms. Clear speaking ability. Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish).
