Brake Press Operator

Job Description

Brake Press Operator sets up, programs, and operates the press brakes to bend sheet metal.

Responsibilities include interpreting technical blueprints, managing CNC control software,

performing quality inspections, and ensuring the safe operation of the machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Setup: Load, program, and operate Salvagnini systems (such as the B3 press brake) using onboard

CNC software, barcode scanners, or automated elaboration programs.

• Adjustments: Adjust machine parameters (such as tonnage, bend angles, and back-gauge positions) for specific material

types and thicknesses.

• Blueprint Reading: Interpret engineering drawings, technical specification sheets, and fabrication schematics to ensure final

parts meet exact tolerances.

• Quality Control: Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, machinist squares, micrometers, protractors) to verify

dimensions and inspect for defects during and after the bending process.

• Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to strict manufacturing safety protocols, utilize advanced safety systems (like built-in camera/laser sensors)

, and perform routine machine maintenance.

• Material Handling: Move, load, rotate, flip, and stack raw sheet metal and finished parts efficiently, which can require moderate physical

stamina and lifting.

• Capable of working on their feet for 8 hours constantly handling/flipping/rotating steel sheets to form parts.
• Ability to operate the machine safely and independently (previous experience being around or operating heavy industrial machinery is preferred).
• Require to meet daily goals as assigned by production supervisor or team lead
• Previous sheet metal handling or exposure a must
• 2-3 years of verifiable experienced required
• Ability to perform other duties are required

Measurement Test Required for consideration

First shift M-F 5 AM – 130 PM, (Occasional Saturday O/T may be require).

The pay for this position is $21-$25 DOE. This position requires an interview
