Qualifications Master’s degree from an accredited institution in the field of Guidance and Counseling, School Counseling, or related field OR Master’s degree from an accredited institution with a major in counseling other than school counseling that includes a minimum of 600 clock hours of supervised internship with school-aged children and their families with at least 9 semester hours of graduate credit as defined in Florida Department of Education Rule 6A-4.0181 Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate in Guidance and Counseling or School Counseling PK-12 Additional Responsibilities This position may require you to teach an additional period beyond your base contract. If this occurs, you will receive additional compensation at the effective negotiated rate in addition to your base salary for instructing this period. This amount will be paid as a supplement and disbursed in equal payments based on the District’s established payroll calendar for this position. This amount is considered part of your salary for Florida Retirement System purposes.
