Warehouse Maintenance WorkerWork Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:45 PMJob Summary: Under supervisor, performs a variety of skilled maintenance work of warehouse-related equipment (i.e. pallet jack, forklifts, batteries, etc.) This includes light troubleshooting work as needed. In addition, the Maintenance Worker will be responsible for maintaining the electrical, plumbing, and cleanup of the different departments within the building.Essential Job Functions:Perform a variety of maintenance work independently or with assistance as instructed or modification of buildings, facilities, and groundsEnsure that all equipment is operating properly and safely. Perform periodic and general maintenance tasks throughout the facility as assigned and according to schedule. Includes pallet jack, dollies, forklift, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance, major overhaul of equipment, fabrication of parts, air conditioning and heating systemPerform daily inspection of doors, roll up doors, and industrial strip curtains. Recognize problems and perform routine maintenance before breakdown occurs.Inspect and hand sort wooden pallets accurately and efficiently in designated area.Painting such as parking lot, warehouse floor lines and other "touch up" jobs as needed.With proper approval, may purchase and pick up tools and other equipment from local vendors to perform required duties.Perform all work in accordance with WAF and government guidelines regarding food safety standards, rules, regulations when working on equipment and maintenance.Responsible for company tools and maintenance equipment used in performance of job duties, including inventory maintenance, safe operation, proper storage, and security of tool area while maintaining a clean and organized workstation.Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceMaintain various preventative maintenance log with proper documentation, per WAF policy.Coordinate with external calibration/maintenance supplier to complete required servicesFollow company procedures. Ensure a safe work environment.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and Ability:Knowledge of equipment operation.Knowledge of mechanics and electricity.Reads and interprets simple mechanical drawings, electrical labels, and operating manuals.Able to read and write legibly; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).Able to work with little direct supervision.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead and to work in or under the equipment.Ability to operate work related equipment such as maintenance related power equipment and hand tools, forklifts and pallet jacks and diagnostic equipment.Mental alertness is necessary to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities.Ability to read, speak, and write in English.Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.Available to work extended hours.Benefits*: Wismettac offers competitive benefits, which include:Health InsuranceVision InsuranceDental InsuranceLife & accident insurancePet Insurance401(k) with company matching19 days of paid time offWellness program and EAP assistanceand much more!*Most benefits require employee contribution
