Scientist, High Throughput Antibody Production

AstraZeneca seeks a Scientist to join the High-Throughput Production team in Cambridge, MA, operating advanced robotics and automation systems to produce and quality-control hundreds of antibodies and therapeutic molecules weekly in support of drug discovery programs.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-throughput transient expression, purification, and sample preparation campaigns for antibodies and recombinant proteins
• Operate liquid handlers and integrated robotics platforms including Hamilton and Lynx systems with Cellario orchestration software
• Perform routine production QC testing including concentration, purity, identity, and biochemical measurements; compile traceable data packages
• Maintain automation and analytical instrumentation readiness through preventive maintenance and calibrations
• Track samples and inventory in LIMS software; coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet weekly throughput and quality targets

Requirements

• Master's degree in biochemistry, biotechnology, cell biology, or related discipline with 1+ years high-throughput protein/antibody production experience
• Or Bachelor's degree in related scientific discipline with 5+ years high-throughput protein/antibody production experience
• Hands-on experience operating automated liquid handlers; Hamilton or Lynx platform experience preferred
• Fundamental knowledge of mammalian cell culture, transient transfection, protein purification, and affinity capture techniques
• Experience with laboratory LIMS software and barcode-driven workflows
• Exceptional attention to detail, documentation rigor, and strict SOP adherence
• Strong organizational skills, team collaboration, and clear communication abilities
