This position is also being announced to applicants eligible to apply through Merit Staffing procedures under GS-7: To be qualified at the GS-7 grade level, you must have at least ONE full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience: Assisting in creating multi‑media content such as graphics, photography, short form video for social platforms and/or longer form content for television. Maintaining media files and/or content archives including labeling, storing and organizing digital materials. Capturing, editing, and producing photographic and video content for (non-personal) social media. Proofing and editing content to ensure correct grammar and style guidance for social media posts, briefs, scripts and/or basic articles. Experience in the actual type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. This includes work directly connected with the production aspects of the field(s) of the position to be filled. OR Education One full year of graduate level education in a related field (e.g. photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position) OR Combination of Education and Experience Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. OR Superior Academic Achievement Possess a Bachelor's degree or expect to complete the requirements for a Bachelor's degree within the next 9 months AND possess at least one of the following criteria: (1) Class standing- in the upper third of the graduating class in the college or university. (2) Grade-point average (G.P.A.) - have a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 (\"B\" or better) as recorded on official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 (\"B+\" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum. (3) Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society - Applicants can be considered eligible based on membership in one of the national scholastic honor societies. These honor societies are listed by the Association of College Honor Societies. Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP) The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
