Residential HVAC Service Technician / Turnover Technician

Are you an experienced HVAC technician who knows how to diagnose a system, communicate with homeowners, and recognize when another repair may not be the best answer?

Airtime Plumbing, Heating & Air is looking for an experienced  Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team.

This isn't just a parts-changing position. We're looking for technicians who can properly diagnose residential HVAC systems, make quality repairs, take care of customers, and recognize opportunities where a homeowner may benefit from considering system replacement or other major improvements.

When a replacement opportunity is identified, you'll  turn the call over to one of our Field Supervisors , who will meet with the homeowner, evaluate their options, and handle the system consultation and sale.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, maintain, and repair residential heating and air-conditioning systems
• Perform HVAC repairs and present appropriate repair options to homeowners
• Complete maintenance and tune-up calls
• Identify aging, unsafe, inefficient, or failing equipment where replacement should be considered
• Educate homeowners on the condition of their HVAC system without high-pressure sales tactics
• Generate qualified turnovers to our Field Supervisors for system replacement opportunities
• Communicate with the Field Supervisor and office to create a smooth handoff for the customer
• Occasionally assist with or perform minor installation-related work when needed
• Complete accurate service notes, equipment information, photos, measurements, and documentation
• Maintain a clean, professional company vehicle and properly care for company-provided equipment
• Provide an excellent customer experience from the moment you arrive until the job is complete
• Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who understands that being a great service technician is about more than fixing equipment. You need to be able to  talk to people, build trust, explain what you find in plain English, and help homeowners make informed decisions.

The ideal candidate has residential HVAC service experience, strong diagnostic skills, good communication skills, a clean professional appearance, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently in customers' homes.

Experience generating  HVAC replacement turnovers or leads is a major plus.
