Operating from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck, you will manage the flow of cylinders while building lasting relationships with the customers you visit. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Cylinder Handling: Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations. Record Keeping: Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt. Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA. Warehouse Support: Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed. Ready to Fill Your Potential? Required Qualifications Valid TX Class A Commercial Driver's License. Valid Medical Examiner's Card. Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications required. We are looking for one (1) year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a commitment to road safety to include no more than two (2) convictions, OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years. We also welcome graduates with a diploma from an accredited driving school within the last 12 months OR a minimum of one (1) year of prior driving experience within the last five (5) years. Candidates should be at least 21 years or older. Proficiency in navigating and comprehending material safety data sheets. Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment. Ideally, you are comfortable operating vehicles with hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also part of our daily operations. Availability to support the team with occasional overtime if necessary. Ability to obtain and maintain collaborative safety credentials for customer site access. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in operating heavy machinery (Forklift/Moffett). Benefits We care about and support our Airgas Families.
