Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Location: Portage, IN (Fully Onsite) Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000 annually, depending on experience Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our team in Portage, Indiana. This individual will play a key role in managing the month-end close process, preparing financial reports, supporting daily accounting operations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical accounting skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute the full month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, analyze variances, and provide meaningful insights to support management decision-making. Oversee and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring timely processing, reconciliations, and resolution of discrepancies. Maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting requirements while identifying opportunities for process improvements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience with strong exposure to general ledger accounting and financial reporting. Proven experience managing the full month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation. Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and accounting systems, with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
