Clinical Informatics Specialist

This role will support Ambulatory and Outpatient Clinics by maintaining and optimizing EpicCare Ambulatory functionality across Medical and Specialty clinics to ensure accurate, efficient, and patient-centered documentation and workflows. The position partners closely with operational leaders, providers, nursing staff, medical assistants, front-desk teams, and Epic analysts to enhance clinic operations. Key responsibilities include validating and optimizing Epic tools (e.g., SmartSets, SmartTexts, SmartPhrases, preference lists, order panels, navigators), supporting scheduling and in-basket workflows, providing end-user support, and delivering education related to new functionality, system upgrades, regulatory requirements, and ambulatory documentation best practices.

- Certified in Epic Ambulatory
- Hands-on experience with Epic workflows and understanding of Epic SmartTools (SmartPhrase, SmartText, SmartSet)
- 4+ years of experience in Clinical Informatics and performing systems analysis, workflow planning, and gathering business requirements
