Quality Inspector - NDT / Dimensional Inspection

This is a hands‑on manufacturing quality role for an inspector who wants responsibility across incoming, in-process, and final inspection. You will compare parts and finished products to drawings and specifications, document results, identify nonconforming material, and work with production and management on corrective action. The role combines traditional dimensional inspection with nondestructive testing methods. You will use gauges, calipers, and micrometers, and may perform UT, MT, PT, and RT inspections based on the work. The manufacturing environment also includes fabrication, welding, and machining processes, making this a good fit for someone who understands how quality requirements translate to the shop floor. What you’ll be doing Perform in-process and final inspections on materials, parts, and products Compare completed work to blueprints, drawings, and specifications Conduct visual, dimensional, and NDT/NDE inspections Use gauges, calipers, and micrometers to verify dimensions Perform UT, MT, PT, and RT methods where required Accept or reject work based on documented specifications Identify defects and deviations and support corrective actions Maintain inspection records and test data Maintain and calibrate measurement equipment Support root‑cause and continuous‑improvement activities Inspection tools & methods Gauges, calipers, and micrometers Visual and dimensional inspection Ultrasonic testing (UT) Magnetic particle testing (MT) Liquid penetrant testing (PT) Radiographic testing (RT) Shop highlights Mix of in-process and final inspection Exposure to machining, fabrication, and welding processes ISO 9001 quality environment Blueprint and specification‑driven work Hands‑on NDT/NDE responsibilities Root‑cause and corrective‑action involvement Full‑time position Starting pay of $25 per hour What we’re looking for Required: Quality‑control experience in a manufacturing environment Working knowledge of quality‑control methods and systems Ability to interpret drawings and customer specifications Experience with dimensional inspection tools Understanding of NDE/NDT processes Ability to create quality reports and interpret statistical dataExperience working in an ISO 9001 environment Experience with ERP systems High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read, write, and speak English Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Preferred: Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements Knowledge of ASME Section I Knowledge of ASME Section VIII, Divisions 1 and 2 Pay, benefits & schedule Pay: Starting at $25 per hour Job Type: Full Time Schedule: Weekend, overtime, and on‑call availability may be required #J-18808-Ljbffr Gro HR
