Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced criminal defense attorney in Phoenix, AZ, who excels in strategy, analysis, and investigation for a non-litigation role. This position focuses on case preparation, investigative review, and defense strategy development without courtroom responsibilities. Duties Analyze criminal investigations and evidence critically. Research statutes, case law, and procedural issues to strengthen defenses. Collaborate with trial attorneys to build case strategy. Draft motions, briefs, and internal case assessments. Serve as a resource for investigative insight without handling courtroom litigation. Requirements J.D. and active law license in good standing. Strong background in criminal law and investigations. Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills. Detail-oriented, strategic thinker who enjoys problem-solving. Desire to work in a non-litigation role, supporting attorneys and clients. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Certifications Active law license in good standing. Skills Strong analytical and research abilities. Excellent writing and communication skills.
