Reports to: Director of Special Education & Building Principal

Location: Chelsea High School

Start Date: Immediate Opening

Rate of Pay: Starting at $17.25/hour – Pay commensurate with experience

Benefits: Single Subscriber Insurance, State Retirement, Personal Days and Sick Days, Training provided

Schedule: 7 hours/day, 5 days/week, 182 days/year

Qualifications:

• Proven record of excellent attendance
• Ability to work as a team player
• Self-initiating
• Work under the direction of certified staff

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to adapt to changing situations, flexibility
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to be trained and to perform minor medical procedures
• Willingness to assist students with toileting
• Ability to assist with academic coursework
• Willingness to learn, to grow as a professional
• Willingness to be trained in and implement CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or other district behavior modification plans
• Willing to work in the community or alternative sites
• Ability to follow student(s) academic and social plans
• Other duties as assigned
