Join a dynamic healthcare team as a full-time Clinical Laboratory Scientist, providing essential diagnostic testing across a variety of body fluids including blood, urine, cerebrospinal, and synovial fluids. This role involves performing high complexity tests, evaluating quality controls, calibrations, and ensuring accurate results to support patient care in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex laboratory testing on diverse specimens with precision and adherence to protocols.
• Analyze and interpret test results, quality controls, and calibration data to maintain laboratory standards.
• Perform venipunctures and capillary blood collections, ensuring proper patient identification and specimen handling.
• Work a rotating schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with on-call duties at least twice monthly requiring a 20-minute response time.

Education

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical, Physical, Biological, Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field is required.

Experience and Certification

Must hold certification such as ASCP, NCA, AMT, MT (AMT), MT (HEW), CLS, or an equivalent credential. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and commitment to meet 24-hour staffing needs, including varied shifts and on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

Ability to respond promptly to on-call duties within 20 minutes under all weather conditions. Provisions for on-site accommodations during severe weather may be available.
