About the Role:

The Day Patrol / Transfort Supervisor provides hands-on leadership and operational support for Precision Security Team's daytime Patrol and Transfort operations. This position directly supervises a small team of approximately four guards each day, typically consisting of three Transfort guards and one Day Patrol guard.

The Supervisor maintains regular contact with assigned personnel, monitors operational readiness and performance, provides field support and coaching, and ensures services are delivered in accordance with PST policies, client expectations, and site-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

In addition to daily field supervision, this position supports the Operations Manager with training, investigations, audits, SOP development, equipment management, administrative projects, and other operational needs. The Supervisor must maintain effective communication with the Operations Manager and remain qualified and prepared to perform both Patrol and Transfort assignments when operational needs require.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Supervision & Field Support

•Provide direct daily supervision and support to assigned Day Patrol and Transfort guards.

•Maintain regular communication with personnel throughout the shift and conduct in-person field check-ins as appropriate.

•Ensure guards have the information, equipment, and resources necessary to perform their assignments successfully.

•Monitor performance, professionalism, reporting, uniform standards, and compliance with company and client expectations.

•Provide coaching, guidance, debriefing, and operational direction while maintaining appropriate accountability.

•Respond to incidents, staffing issues, client concerns, or other situations requiring supervisory support.

•Identify performance concerns, operational trends, or training needs and coordinate appropriate follow-up with the Operations Manager.

Patrol & Transfort Operations

•Maintain a strong working knowledge of Day Patrol and Transfort routes, posts, policies, procedures, SOPs, and client expectations.

•Conduct site visits, field observations, and operational checks to verify service quality and compliance.

•Assist guards with unusual incidents, client concerns, law enforcement interactions, and other operational situations.

•Perform Day Patrol or Transfort assignments and provide shift coverage when staffing shortages, call-offs, emergencies, training, or other operational circumstances require.

•Escalate significant or time-sensitive incidents and operational concerns through the appropriate chain of command.

Communication & Reporting

•Maintain consistent communication with the Operations Manager regarding staffing, incidents, guard performance, client concerns, and other significant operational matters.

•Promptly communicate issues requiring management awareness or action.

•Provide clear pass-ons regarding unresolved issues and items requiring follow-up.

•Complete a Daily Activity Report (DAR) each shift documenting supervisory activities, guard check-ins, incidents, training, audits, administrative work, and other significant activities.

•Ensure reports and operational documentation are accurate, professional, complete, and submitted within required timeframes.

Training & Employee Development

•Assist with onboarding and field training of new Patrol and Transfort personnel.

•Conduct refresher or remedial training as needed.

•Identify individual and team training needs through field observations, audits, investigations, and performance reviews.

•Reinforce SOPs, client expectations, reporting requirements, and operational procedures.

•Provide constructive coaching and feedback to improve employee competency, professionalism, and consistency.

•Assist with the development and improvement of operational training materials.

Quality Assurance & Investigations

•Conduct routine audits of guard reports, Patrol and Transfort activity, equipment, and operational documentation.

•Review reports for accuracy, completeness, professionalism, and compliance with company and client requirements.

•Conduct field audits and quality assurance checks to identify recurring deficiencies or operational gaps.

•Assist with corrective actions and follow-up verification as directed.

•Support internal investigations and incident reviews by gathering statements, reports, photographs, video, and other relevant documentation.

•Conduct objective fact-finding and assist with reviewing timelines, discrepancies, and potential procedural concerns.

•Maintain confidentiality and appropriately escalate investigative findings to the Operations Manager.

Administrative, SOP & Equipment Support

•Assist with creating, reviewing, and updating SOPs to ensure they accurately reflect current operations and client expectations.

•Identify procedures that are outdated, unclear, conflicting, or creating operational challenges.

•Support scheduling, training coordination, recordkeeping, equipment tracking, and other operational administrative functions as assigned.

•Maintain organized, professional documentation suitable for management, HR, client, or audit review.

•Assist with equipment issuance, returns, inventory, accountability, and other company equipment needs.

•Complete company-related errands involving equipment, uniforms, training materials, documents, or operational supplies as needed.

•Promptly report equipment, vehicle, or safety concerns through the appropriate chain of command.

•Organization & Adaptability: Effectively manages competing priorities and transitions between field supervision, administrative responsibilities, training, investigations, audits, and operational coverage as needs change throughout the day.

Education and Experience:

•High school diploma or equivalent required.

•Previous security experience required; Patrol and/or Transfort experience strongly preferred.

•Previous supervisory, team lead, or people-management experience preferred.

•Experience training, coaching, or providing operational direction to employees preferred.

•Experience with security reporting, investigations, audits, SOPs, or operational documentation preferred.

•Strong computer proficiency and ability to use scheduling, reporting, communication, and other operational software.

Required Qualifications:

•Meet all PST requirements for a supervisory position.

•Valid driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and authorization to operate company vehicles.

•Maintain all required qualifications for armed Patrol duties, including current pistol qualification.

•Remain qualified and capable of performing both Day Patrol and Transfort assignments.

•Successfully pass required background check and MVR.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Strong judgment, problem-solving, de-escalation, and conflict-management skills.

•Ability to provide professional direction, coaching, and accountability to assigned personnel.

•Ability to prepare professional reports, DARs, SOPs, investigative documentation, and other operational materials.

•Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding employee, client, investigative, and company information.

•Dependable, organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple operational priorities.

Physical Requirements:

•Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and conduct indoor and outdoor patrols over varying terrain.

•Ability to enter and exit company vehicles repeatedly throughout a shift and safely operate assigned company vehicles.

•Ability to lift, carry, transport, issue, and retrieve company equipment and operational supplies.

•Ability to respond promptly to incidents and emergencies and physically intervene when necessary within company policy and training.

•Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

•Ability to operate a computer, tablet, smartphone, two-way radio, and other required equipment.

•Ability to safely use, maintain, and operate a company-issued firearm when performing armed duties.

•Must successfully complete and maintain company-required training and qualifications.

The Day Patrol / Transfort Supervisor is expected to remain flexible and responsive to changing operational needs. Responsibilities may vary throughout the day and may include field supervision, guard support, training, administrative projects, investigations, audits, equipment needs, or direct Patrol and Transfort coverage.
