This individual will support project teams in the development of plumbing and fire protection system designs, from initial concept through construction administration. This role is suited for a candidate with two-three years of experience in a consulting engineering environment/building systems design who is looking to continue developing technically and progress toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.Roles & Responsibilities:Assess existing site conditions and prepare scope reports outlining findings and recommendations.Perform plumbing & fire protection system design under the supervision of senior engineers for projects of moderate complexity.Develop system layouts, calculations, and detailed construction documents.Prepare engineering drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.Prepare project-specific specifications and contribute to bid packages.Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines across multi-trade projects.Minimum Requirements:2-3 years of experience in a consulting engineering environment with significant focus on plumbing and fire protection design.Experience with building design in New York City is required; public sector experience is strongly preferred.Proficiency in AutoCAD required, Revit experience is a plus.Preference will be given to candidates with an EIT certification who are motivated to obtain their PE.Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical EngineeringSalary: $80,000 - $100,000 USDQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
