A global leader in media and entertainment is seeking a visionary SVP of Engineering to drive the next era of innovation across content, personalization, and audience engagement. This executive will architect and scale the software platforms that power the company’s digital future, leading the transformation toward modern, high-performance, AI-native systems.

This is a generational build opportunity, not an iteration mandate. You will design, deliver, and operate the enterprise software infrastructure that underpins everything from content workflows and distribution to streaming experiences, personalization, and advertising optimization. Your mission is to modernize the engineering ecosystem, unify platform capabilities, and accelerate product development across the business.

About the Role

Lead the design and evolution of scalable, cloud-native software platforms that support global-scale digital products.

Build and standardize shared services, APIs, and engineering frameworks that unlock velocity, quality, and cross-team consistency.

Partner with data and ML teams to embed AI capabilities across the software stack, powering next-gen user experiences and operational intelligence.

Enterprise Transformation

Guide the shift from siloed engineering groups to a unified, product-driven organization with strong platform foundations and modern SDLC practices.

Security, Reliability & Governance

Develop and enforce best-in-class standards for security, compliance, reliability, and performance across all software systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise software engineering strategy, setting vision, standards, and long-term architectural direction.
• Build and scale distributed systems, services, and tools that support billions of interactions across streaming, content, and advertising platforms.
• Partner closely with product, data, and business leaders to enable new capabilities in personalization, audience intelligence, and digital monetization.
• Lead and mentor high-performing engineering teams, including directors, architects, and senior technical leaders.
• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, including DevOps, CI/CD, cloud-native development, and site reliability engineering.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on emerging technologies, AI-driven software development, and platform innovation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of progressive engineering leadership, including executive ownership of large-scale software organizations.
• Demonstrated success architecting and scaling complex, high-traffic, cloud-native systems in enterprise or multi-business environments.
• Deep expertise in modern software architecture, platform engineering, distributed systems, and API ecosystems.
• Experience leading cultural, organizational, and technological transformation at scale.
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence C-suite and board-level stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication skills with a track record of translating complex technical strategies into clear business value.
