Operations Manager

As a CBRE Operations Manager, you will lead a team supporting a major telecommunications client across critical infrastructure sites on the West Coast PM team. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, maintenance activities, and team performance to ensure reliability, efficiency, and exceptional service delivery in a mission-critical environment.

This position is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, which provides support, preventive maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems. In this role, you will directly supervise a team of five engineers and/or maintenance technicians while driving operational excellence and strengthening client relationships.

This position requires candidates to be located in the Los Angeles or San Diego area to support travel to client sites as needed.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise a team of engineers and maintenance technicians, providing coaching, performance management, and professional development
• Coordinate daily team operations, including scheduling, work assignments, and cross-training to maintain operational efficiency
• Manage and support maintenance activities across multiple client sites, ensuring uptime and reliability of critical infrastructure
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring service delivery meets or exceeds expectations
• Oversee departmental performance, including tracking deadlines, productivity, and service quality metrics
• Support financial management efforts, including monitoring budgets, expenses, and operational efficiency
• Develop and implement team goals aligned with CBRE and client objectives
• Evaluate processes and workflows to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Lead by example, modeling CBRE RISE values and fostering collaboration across teams
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues to minimize disruption to client environments

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 3–5 years of related experience in facilities management or engineering operations; or a combination of education and experience
• Proven leadership experience including staffing, coaching, performance management, and team development
• Experience managing or supporting technical teams in facilities, maintenance, or critical environments
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
• Solid organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to travel locally to client sites within the Los Angeles and San Diego areas as needed
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

CBRE is committed to complying with all applicable state and local pay transparency and equal pay laws. The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $120,000 annually. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to candidate experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
