Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a state-of-the-art, 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital designed for the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced severe injuries or illnesses. The ideal candidate will provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Deliver specialized therapy focused on maximizing health, function, and quality of life.
• Work closely with patients recovering from a variety of diagnoses including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic injuries.
• Maintain caseload of 5-6 patients per day, primarily using 1:1 treatment methods.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Schedule

This position operates on a full-time schedule, specifically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Weekend hours are on request.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Occupational Therapist License.
• BLS Certification.
• Preferred 1 year of inpatient rehabilitation experience.
• Basic computer knowledge and effective communication skills in English (verbal & written).

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
