Medical Assistant, Float

Position Summary The Float Medical Assistant provides flexible clinical support across multiple outpatient clinics and nursing units, ensuring continuity of care and consistent service during staffing transitions or periods of fluctuating workload. This role assists providers and nursing staff with patient intake, clinical tasks, documentation, and workflow coordination across a variety of specialty and primary care settings. The Float Medical Assistant adapts quickly to changing environments, supports smooth patient flow, and works collaboratively with care teams to maintain high standards of service. The position contributes to timely, patient-centered care while upholding Trinity Health quality standards within a supportive, team-oriented clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and room patients across assigned clinics or units by collecting relevant information, assisting providers, and supporting clinical procedures. Perform delegated clinical tasks such as vital signs, point of care testing, specimen collection, immunization support, and documentation within the scope of practice. Maintain exam rooms and equipment in each assigned location by ensuring cleanliness, readiness, and adequate inventory of supplies. Support scheduling, referral coordination, and communication with patients and interdisciplinary teams to promote efficient clinic operations. Document clinical information accurately in the electronic health record while adhering to privacy, confidentiality, and regulatory standards. Adapt to daily assignments determined by the Nursing Supervisor and assist with operational needs, including travel to satellite clinics. #J-18808-Ljbffr
