Real Estate Officer
This is a 1 year contract with the possibility of extension and/or conversion to a career appointment.
Department Summary
UCLA Real Estate provides cost-effective professional real estate services for UCLA entities, which are continually improved in order to exceed the expectations of our customers and to fulfill our fiduciary responsibilities to the University. We assist campus users with off-campus leasing and real estate agreements, third party agreements for on-campus space and coordinate purchases and sales of real property. We also provide lease administration for our off-campus leases.

Salary & Compensation
*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications
- 5 years Real Estate Leasing Experience (Required)
- Knowledge and understanding of basic real estate law concerning commercial leases. (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate the terms and language of commercial leases (office, medical retail and/or industrial.) (Required)
- Knowledge and understanding of sound business practices and procedures. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. (Required)
- Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills. (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to resolve disputes. (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and act effectively under time constraints. (Required)
- Demonstrated skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction. (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to effectively operate a personal computer with Windows operating system. (Required)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and other spreadsheet and word processing software. (Required)
- Demonstrated skill in mathematical computations. (Required)
- Demonstrated experience working in a corporate and/or commercial real estate environment. Demonstrated detailed knowledge and understanding of commercial real estate property management. (Required)
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to accurately document and maintain lease files. (Required)
Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
- Bachelor's Degree in related area and/or equivalent combination of education and training/experience (Required)
- Must possess, upon hire, and maintain a valid CA noncommercial Class C License in accordance with the California (CA) Department of Motor Vehicles. (Required)
- California Real Estate Salesperson or Broker License 5 (Preferred)

- Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
- Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
- Age Requirement: Candidate(s) must be 18 years or older to be eligible to be hired.
