As a Donor Greeter, you are often the first person donors interact with when they visit our stores. By welcoming donors, assisting with their contributions, and ensuring donated items are properly handled, you'll play a vital role in supporting our mission and helping create opportunities throughout the communities we serve.What You'll DoWelcome and assist donors with unloading and bringing donations into the storeServe as a friendly and knowledgeable first point of contact for donors and visitorsAccurately record and maintain donation log documentationSort donated goods into appropriate categories for processing and transportationProperly label carts, containers, and other equipment used for donation processingAssist with loading and unloading merchandise and equipment as neededFollow all safety procedures when handling donations, moving merchandise, and operating equipmentAddress donor and customer concerns in a courteous and respectful manner, seeking support from leadership when neededHelp maintain a clean, safe, and organized donation area, sales floor, and surrounding store environmentSupport store operations through cross-training opportunities and additional responsibilities as assignedCustomer Service ExpectationsAs a Donor Greeter, you help shape the donor experience and represent Goodwill's mission in every interaction. We are looking for individuals who:Enjoy engaging with donors, customers, and community membersCreate a welcoming and positive experience for every visitorDemonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and respect in all interactionsUnderstand the impact donations have on supporting Goodwill's programs and servicesTake pride in providing exceptional customer service while working efficiently and safelyWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrevious retail, warehouse, customer service, or donation center experience preferred, but not requiredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsBasic math and recordkeeping skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamCommitment to providing outstanding customer serviceAbility to follow safety procedures and maintain an organized work environmentPositive attitude and willingness to learnWork Schedule & AvailabilityOpen and flexible availability preferredWillingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is requiredSchedule may vary based on business needsWork EnvironmentThis position works in a combination of retail, donation receiving, and processing environments. Team members regularly interact with donors and customers and may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions while accepting donations.
