Convenience Store Clerk

Engage with customers and provide efficient checkout services Monitor gas levels, fuel pumps, deliveries, and customer safety Maintain full stock conditions, rotate or discard dated products, and uphold product quality Scan and key items accurately and maintain register cash counts Inspect fuel pumps and respond to suspicious activities, emergencies, fires, and fuel spills Check truck inventory, unload products, order products, and complete associated paperwork Greet customers, answer questions, assist with fuel pumps and product location Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary store environment Comply with laws governing sales of tobacco, alcohol, cannabis-based products, and lottery items Follow tender policies for checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, WIC, and AML Operate a pallet jack to unload warehouse deliveries and reload return items Promote product sales through suggestive selling Requirements Minimum of 21 years of age required High school Diploma or GED required TABC/LACT/AATC certification required where applicable Fuel Operator C training required Basic knowledge and compliance of state laws regarding the sale of alcohol, tobacco, and lottery, as applicable Ability to count and calculate for cash handling and sales transactions Understanding of check, credit, debit, coupon, and traveler check tenders Effective written and verbal communication with customers and partners Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or signpost them Must report hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor Ability to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 40 lbs.
