Summary As a Scanner/Lift Operator in our Foodservice Department, you’ll be at the center of the action, helping keep our operations running smoothly from start to finish. You’ll skillfully operate powered industrial equipment to move materials throughout the facility, supporting production, storage, and shipping every step of the way. This is a hands‑on role where your attention to safety, efficiency, and teamwork makes a real impact, and where every day brings a sense of accomplishment as you help keep products moving and customers served. Schedule Monday through Friday, 6:30am‑5:00pm Responsibilities Utilize production schedules and/or shipping orders, transport materials or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility. Move product packed on pallets or in crates as required. Check to make sure loads are secure. May need to stack empty pallets. Notify supervisor of any pallets which are not in the correct locations. Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards. May be required to use RF scanner handheld unit to scan pallets. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Perform all duties in a safe manner following facility guidelines. Minimum Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer in the last 12 months. Math, reading and writing skills. Basic computer skills may be required. Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator's license may be required. Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 dB to 110 dB. May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company. Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10 ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm. Able to stand for several hours. Work may include lifting (35 to 65 lbs) to heights from 5" to 84", reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly.
